Ran my First 5K!!!

I ran my first 5K at Mead Garden this morning in support of Florida Hospital's Breast Cancer Manogram Program. It started out chilly and ended in a little pain but it was all so worth it.

I've wanted to do this for as long as I can remember and ultimetly would like to run a 1/2 marathon. I just don't know how soon I'll be ready for the 1/2 and thought it would be in my best interest to start running small races around town. So one of this years many goals is to partisapaite in at least one 5K a month.

This mornings first race was way to early for this gal who usually wakes up to her baby yelling "Mommy" from her crib at 8-9 not to an alarm clock at 6 am in the morning. But with my friend Jeannie we made it and ran non stop coming in at 33:00 min. Yah for US!

Thanks Jeannie for carpooling with me and thank you Amber for getting me all the information. I hope to run many more and have pictures to share. (At oh dark thrity in the morning I forgot to change the battery in my little point and shoot camera before I left.)
