Remembering Brenda's Mom

As many of you may already know I have spent the last four days in North Carolina with Brenda and her family as she fights the tears and prepares for her mothers final hours. As one of my oldest friends from high school I couldn't imagine doing anything else but be by her side when she called to tell me that her mother wasn't doing well. I am not sure if it helped in anyway that I came but I am so glad that I could be the shoulder to cry on or the ear to listen when she needed a friend and show her just how much she means to me.

I can't even begin to imagine what Brenda and her family are going through. My mother is my best friend and someone I talk to daily.
Here are couple of links to stories written by the local newspapers that express what a remarkable lady Brenda's mother is.

One Final Unselfish Act

One last selfless act: Dying woman donates hair to help others

During this mini visit I have had the honor of pouring through hundreds of pictures to put together a slide show tribute to her mom and also created a unique memorial that everyone can remember her by. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they get through this very sad time.
